Dry Moong
Wash and soak moong dhowa for 20–30 minutes, then boil until just soft and well cooked. Drain excess water and keep the dal aside. Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, and green chilies, sautéing until aromatic. Add spices and mix well, then add the cooked moong dal and stir gently. Cook on low flame for a few minutes until the dal is dry and well coated with spices, then garnish and serve hot.
